Dead batteries.
It's 6:50pm and I'm in my office. I honestly put effort into leaving... I turned off my computer, put my coat on and make the trek in the freezing cold to my car. Then I clicked the unlock button and nothing. Press it again? Nothing. Oh yeah... dead fucking battery ( Read more... ) -

I think I like the analogy I used earlier at work. I feel like I'm trying to claw my way out of quicksand, yet I'm still buried. It's no fun working hour after hour and seemingly getting nowhere. I'm sitting in my hotel room and it's 8:49pm. I'm taking a break from work for the night I think to catch up on blogs, webcomics, and general stuff I never have time for at work or at home. I'm not lying. There is some evil inside me. I think I've nearly conquered its attempts at making me ill, which would be really great. Today is the first day I didn't feel I was going to have to pull over on the way to work. Thankfully, I haven't had to...but the threat was there on more than one occasion. Our brand new mattress was delivered yesterday at about 6pm. Sleeping in it was like sleeping on a big huge pillow made of pure awesomeness. It was so comfortable that I barely noticed the huge throbbing gash I put into my foot yesterday while trying to do battle with the floor tack that had come up between the carpet and the linoleum in my bedroom ( Read more... ) -
