--Luceti--
When Selim first arrived to Luceti, he was taken in by Winry Rockbell and Alphonse Elric. He spent most of his time in Luceti observing the residents and keeping his identity a secret as he could not possibly start something out in the open in a closed space. At one point, he had snapped and tortured a few of the residents thanks to being taken by the Malnosso and Winry being brainwashed by them. As no one could figure out who was causing the trouble, he easily got away without getting caught. That was until the Fullmetal Alchemist arrived. Despite knowing his identity, Pride was aware Edward Elric could not do anything while he was with Winry and Alphonse. So up until the day he was sent home, he bide his time and kept his childish act up, even taunted the Fullmetal whenever he had the chance.

Personality: Selim acts like any other kid his age. He’s cheerful, a daydreamer, and curious about the world around him, especially Alchemy. That means he's always looking forward to learning new things from any State Alchemists he comes across. He's also a bit of a fan of Edward Elric, admiring the fact he became a State Alchemist at such a young age. Besides state alchemists, he loves his parents and especially looks up to his father. I mean who doesn't when he's the Fuhrer? He one day wishes to follow in his father's footsteps and join the army.

Selim sadly, is also an homunculus, Pride. His human-side is really all an act. In reality he is cold and sadistic. He feels no emotions when he causes harm to others, even when he's being attacked. He shows absolutely no signs of fear or pain when facing possible death, possibly because he denies any thought that he would die and that he always had the upper hand. He mocks his prey, toying with them, taking advantage of them and instilling them with fear until he gets what he wants. All of these to show he had superiority over them. Pride isn't just a name, it's what he is. He believes everyone is below him, his other homunculi pals included. They are all pawns to him, until their uses have expired. He doesn't take well to those who have failed him. The one exception to this is Father of course, his creator. He will obediently serve him without question. Others he may react differently are with his parents. His foster mother at one point had saved him from being hit by a car. Being an homunculus he would've been unharmed but the fact that his mother would risk his life for him...it wasn't something he had experience before, so he has some feelings towards his mother, if just a little. Due to his time in Luceti, it is likely he shares similar feelings towards Winry Rockbell, though he disregards such feelings as an inferior human desire. Wrath of course is his "father", but someone he still has command over. He has an interesting relationship with him in which both of them respect the other and Pride would likely go out of his way to help Wrath and vice versa.

Strengths:
His shadow abilities are a compilation of the homunculi.
-His shadow can pierce or cut through almost anything (Lust)
-Invulnerable to conventional physical harm (Greed)
-Can assume many forms or even possess the bodies of others (Envy)
-Has great strength over physical objects (Sloth)
-Can consume or devour anything apparently integrating them into Pride himself (Gluttony)
-Can see things far beyond the range of his main body's human eyes (Wrath).

As he is a Homunculus, he's a bitch to kill. His wounds heal fast; even a lost of a limb will grow back. You can try and it is possible to kill him, but you may end up fighting him for quite a while before the philosopher stone in him stops regenerating his injuries. His strategy is to keep himself hidden from view while letting his "shadow" do the work, range-attacker. He likes using others as a shield whether it be his own comrade or an enemies loved one, just to mess with them and to show how heartless he is (Hey Ed, let me use your brother and make you fight him). His shadow can also be his eyes and mouth. He is able to speak through his shadow and see what the shadow can, anywhere that have shadows. If he consumes someone, he will gain whatever ability they had. He has been seen to consume three individual in the manga. With Gluttony, he gained a keener sense of smell and his Philosopher's Stone. It's currently unknown what he had gained from assimilating Kimblee and as Father prepared his sacrifices, he consumed a doctor and gained the knowledge of human transmutation in order to activate the transmutation circle to send the sacrifices to his Father. Living for as long as he has, he also has a nice pool of information he can work with, making him adapt to handle most situations. He's also in a disguise of a child and can take advantage of being the innocent kid to gain allies for as long as he can until it's too late for anyone to do anything. He feels nothing when attacked or attacking, so his judgment is not easily clouded by emotions.

Weaknesses: His "pride" is like a double-edge sword. While he may have vast knowledge, it leads him to be overconfident and miscalculate, especially with humans. He thinks he knows everything they'll do, but they have surprised him time and again, able to quickly adapt with whatever he throws at them. For example, during a battle against the heroes they turn off the lights in the slum town, causing him to be blind in the dark. This enable the chimeras to attack them as they use other senses then just sight, something he hadn't expected because he believed the other side was also blinded by the dark as well. Along with that, the Xingese are able to sense the homunculi and after discovering his limit to his powers, used flash bombs to render his powers useless. Pride needs light to work, but if the entire area is in complete darkness or a sudden flash of light, he cannot use his powers. He is also not completely immortal. The Philosopher's Stone can only work for so long before it can no longer sustain a Homunculi after taking a lot of hits. Pride's weakest spot is likely his child form, as it is simply a shell of his true form (which is an endless mass of blackness with eyes and mouths). Even his ability to absorb others skill has consequences. When he had gained Gluttony's sense of smell, he also gained his voracious appetite. Though there are very few things that would tick off Pride, he doesn't respond well whenever someone speaks poorly of Father. Despite how coldly his Father treats him, he is blindly very loyal to him, because Father was his creator and cannot accept what other say that he is wrong.
