So yeah, my house survived the night. There are electricians there now fixing the wiring so they can turn on more than one light at a time without them going dim, use the dryer wthout being electricuted, run the dishwasher thru a cycle without it totally going psycho and blinking and flashing the lights, and some other stuff.
