I know it's scary to lose your first tooth, but you don't have to worry. Your teeth grow back when you lose them.

You mean brush them with my toothbrush! Right? I'm really careful so I make sure to remember, because I don't want my teeth to hurt if I don't! They can get bad if you don't do that.

No, not at all. It is a sign that you're growing up, that's all. When a little one falls out, it means a bigger, adult tooth is going to grow.

[Hmm...] Sometimes the place it fell from is sore for a little while. [a friendly smile] But I think the best medicine for that might be ice cream.
