[Elicia was expecting to be in the middle of a scuffle between enemy winged soldiers. Not to be waking up half-drugged and in an old-fashion malnosso dress. She hadn't done this little dance in a few years now... What did that mean? Did they come back? Impossible, they were... Well, we'll figure this out as we go, Elicia. When she gets up, she

Wow. It's funny how you don't notice such a huge change over the years, because you're trapped in changing yourself. But now she just feels so out of place and unsure about even saying hi.
Instead, she watches from behind a tree. Aaaah, sword katas. |D]

Although that white dress tends to stand out in the forest.] Hey! Are you alright?

She gives him a surprised look-he really didn't age one bit, just like she knew. After a moment she blinks away her confusion and tries to keep upright with that damned metal leg of hers. CREAK.]
I'm alright... Just, uh, confused...
[It's true, anyway. :|]

Did you just wake up here? This is Luceti. [He goes slow with his questions. Trying to figure out if she's new or just stunned to be free again.]
And do you have a prosthetic? I know someone that can help you. It doesn't sound like it's working just right.

Today was... today was something like That Day. Not the day when they'd told her. But the day after. The day she had to get up and face the world bereft.
Except there were no arrangements to be made. There was nothing to be done. And it pressed around her like a heavy blanket, muffling everything, making each movement twice the effort.
But she makes the movement anyway - specifically, she creates the movement. She's in the process of giving the house a thorough cleaning, and has a bandanna wrapped around her hair, an old dress and apron, gloves... and is on her hands and knees, scrubbing at the front porch.]

Everett and Lillie-they mean the world to her. To Gracia and Hughes, not yet, not yet. But then, her mother could die. Would die? She's not even entirely sure how to approach this anymore.
But one thing was for sure. She wanted nothing more right now than to hug her mother.

[Well, that didn't work. The whole 'mouth' thing. And before she could remind herself to be unrealistically strong about this situation, tears begin to form in the corners of her eyes.]
I-I... uh... I'm...
[This is almost as hard as letting her go.]

It's Not A Rainy day, so Raine is -- well, going through the motions with her lighter summer schedule. Mostly concentrated outside her house, taking a break while painting in the shade of a tree. Might be a familiar sight; might not be. Her hair's a little longer in Elicia's world, but aside from that...]

HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE THESE GENES?!
Excuse her while she pauses at Raine's left and holds a sword. With her wardrobe back, at least she wasn't a big sore thumb, but then, maybe it would have made this easier. |D;;]
Um... Miss Raine?

... Holding a sword. Hm.
There's something in the eyes, the face -- but for the moment, she can't place it.]
Ah, hello... I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage. Can I help you?

I wanted to see how you were doing, is all. I'm a lot taller than you'd remember...
