Well, its official, I am now a resident of Brattleboro. I have a library card. With it I checked out the Best American Comics 2006, Casablanca (DVD), a book of the Iran Iraq War, and a series of personal essays by called Sharon and My Mother in Law (thats Sharon as in Ariel, not in PTA soccer mom). So I have arrived at 21 Bullock Street, my address for the summer. All seems to be working well, my room is wicked awesome (as are my roommates) and it looks like I'll be working 20-30 hours a week in the kitchen, which is doable budgetwise (though I would like to pick up something else in Brat for nights or early mornings). Yesterday I went to the Rhode Island Blood Center to donate blood. It started out innocent enough; I changed my address on file and passed the mini physical with flying colors (I had a perfect temperature and my pulse/blood pressure was ace) and told the staff person the best arm for finding veins. In the Picture section of the BBC website, there is a gallery of Tony Blair as PM. One of the pictures is of his family in front of 10 Downing Street with a caption that in 2000 the Blairs had another child. But the caption said "produced" as in the Blairs produced a child like it was a record. And I giggled a little bit.
