I have no idea what happened to this post

So, yesterday I had, as I think I mentioned eariler, like a really, really good day. If you take a look at my various posts, generally I don't write about good days, and if I have one, i usually think to write about something else--something universal, that all of us can relate to, something, in other words, that isn't my good day ( Read more... )

I don't find this horribly uninteresting. Maybe because I actually know who Sarah Alexander is.

Once I saw Sarah Michelle Gellar, aka Buffy the vampire slayer at the Getty Museum.

But if I just said "Yay! I saw Sarah Alexander! She's a fox." Well, that would have been pretty boring. Meta-commentary to the rescue--universalizing the little pleasures of my life.

You know who Sarah Alexander is? IMDB doesn't even have a picture yet. Are you a Coupling fan, or do you know her from something else?

The Getty museum is awesome. I haven't been back since the remodel, but it's on my list.

That was weird, I got this message in my email box three times.

I know her from Coupling, but I wouldn't exactly call myself a fan.

It's not really fair to call it a remodel since it's a completely new complex in a completely new location. I was really resistant and bitter about the change when I first heard about it, because I loved the old Getty Center, but I have to admit I love the new one too. It's more modern and sterile looking, but it's still amazing, and the greenery has been growing in nicely so it doesn't look quite as sterile ast he first time I saw it. Yeah, it's really nice, one of my favorite places to be.

Yeah, you got it 3 times because I kept messing it up, and had to go delete 2 of 'em--no way to modify comments.

You don't like Coupling, huh? I'm afraid I don't quite know what to do with that.

Old Getty was great--I hear the new Getty is out of control. But really the whole move was mostly about traffic congestion, right? I remember there was a 6 month wait-list to get in when it first opened.

She's foxy, too. Though, way shorter than I had expected--like 5'3", and absolutely tiny. Maybe that business about the camera and the 10 pounds is true, because that woman has no waist whatsoever.
