I've only just seen your reply! It was more the more extreme comments in the fan groups from fans who felt the need to defend and justify Fox's comments which were far more offensive and upsetting. Being ace I will never understand the need to defend and parrot a person merely because you are sexually attracted to the actor, as many (or most) of the members of the groups I was a member of us are. So many of the comments were that kind of nastiness and/or ignorance we've seen more and more since the referendum in 2016 in our country

Definitely not your fault! Mine! Given your use of the name on FB I made an unwarranted assumption. Also, of course, my LJ (and my personal FB) are f'locked, so worrying about 'outing' someone is not something I do much of. I'm more careful on my WP site and on my author FB but I don't post anything really personal on either, so... Again, I'm sorry - and I suggest you, as the site owner, delete this entire comment thread so that others don't see it and wonder what on earth is going on!
