gratin! cheese! yum!

the lie sounded convincing since it was mostly true. mizz k did find it in the downstairs bathroom and gave it to mr t to return to the library. i found it in the pile when i added other books to go back.

Lucky Lilac never has to choose between man and beast!

OMG best Amazon summary evar. Is it wrong that I kind of want to read this book, or at least some choice paragraphs?

yes. yes it is.

this book, much like all of ms joy's works, is atrocious. some parts are funny, but overwhelmingly, the shape shifting cat man beast thing in regency england plays on a lot of creepy stereotypes about women and their cats and bestiality is just upsetting. i think jadelennox can explain it better.

but if you must, do not buy it. the freaks now have a copy which i bet someone will gladly lend you. we've been passing the same copy back and forth for about ten years now.

Oh, fear not -- I want to read it for humor value and irony, not for any actual sexual interest in cat-shaped Regency aliens. I'll probably get bored after a chapter or two.

Oh, I remember this one - such a twisted book. One of those ones that make your mind go *fizz* with the weirdness.
