Prospective Members
Hello and welcome to aspecialparent one of the largest and most active all encompassing special needs parenting communities on LiveJournal. Generally, when membership is requested, I will make a point to come and check out your journal and will leave you a comment asking for you to tell me what special need your child has. That has proven to be a rather time consuming way for me to screen prospective members SO if you will fill out the following few questions in the form of a comment, which is screened, btw, I will just approve you that way. Less work for all of us :D
How did you find our community?
Do you have a special needs child?
What is their special need?
If your child has not been officially diagnosed with a special need, why would you like to join? (Ex: you are concerned about "normal" development, you have a family history of x, y, or z, etc etc)
Is there anything else I should know before approving you?
