Recently it's come to my attention that some people do not like that we are moderated membership community. There are a few reasons for this, which I'm happy to explain

Please, please don't make this an unmoderated membership community. That was a huge motivating factor for me joining!

You guys are doing a fantastic job, I've only been here for a little while but I can tell that you really care about the community.

thanks :) We really do care about you guys; Jenn and I started this community after being dissatisfied by what else we found on LJ...and we're doing awesome after all these years; we have the best members in here-people really care about one another (as you'll find the longer you are in here) We want to keep it comfortable for EVERYONE, kwim?

Should we shun you for bringing the drama XD ?

I saw MANY people over there recommending us; I get a lot of people referred from all over LJ, so I wouldn't worry about you "bringing" the drama-she brought it all on herself when she left nasty comments on my lj, put up a nasty post about me and aspecialparent and started emailing people about how awful I am...you were being helpful and for that I thank you!

I've been here so long I didn't even know it was moderated. Or that we filled out something to join. Did I fill out anything?

Maybe, maybe not, I believe, if I'm not mistaken that you've been here since nearly the beginning of the comm!
