My grandfather's funeral was yesterday. I really wish I could've gone, but I told myself that I wasn't going to beat myself up over something that couldn't be helped. Dad said that the funeral went really well, and lots of people showed up. It sounded like it was the proper send-off for so great a man. :)

My grandfather on my dad's side left this world for the next today. I hope that in this new world, he won't have to fight in any wars, or constantly work for every little thing he has. However, those things all made him a great man, so maybe they aren't so bad after all ( Read more... )

I rarely ever know what my poetry means when I first write it. Usually I'll just be sitting alone and the first few lines will pop into my head. So, I got my permanent resident card in the mail yesterday. Huzzah! So that's one major worry that's finally swept away. I need to get an application to apply for MSI now, and at some point I have to go sit at the HRDC office and get a new Social Insurance Number. Fun fun. :P ( Read more... )
