An introduction.

This is a short introduction post.

My name is Jane and I'm 38 years young.
This is my face.

I have an Australian Cattle dog called Flint. Who was only meant to be a foster but I've now had him a year and a half. He is still foster as I can't afford to officially make him mine BUT I can't see him going anywhere. This is me and him.

It took 9 months for him to trust me enough to snuggle with me. At the beginning he would go somewhere else if I sat next to him.

I live in a little 3 bedroom terrace, in the village my mum was brought up in and where I went to secondary school. It needs lots of doing up, but at least I'm on the property ladder.

However I live in this house with my ex-boyfriend 'The Boy'. We have been broken up for 2 years in September. Despite this things aren't a lot different from when we were together, except that we now have separate bedroom. This is us.

Our relationship is complicated. He isn't alway a very nice person and sometimes I think our interactions border on abusive. Despite this he can also be kind and considerate and I still love him in my own way.

My family are very important to me. My immediate family are my mum (who lives just down the road from me), my Auntie Rita (who is my mums older sister), my sister (who is 34 and my best friend), my neice Eleanor (who will be a year old in August) and my sister's husband Graham (who is a bit of a wally sometimes but I love him like a brother, he is essentially ace). This is my sister, Eleanor and my mum.

Then there are the people I've lost, there have been a few but the most important two are my dad, who died just over 6 years ago at the age of 65 from emphasyma. He died in the house I shared with him, with my sister, mum and I at his bedside. It was a very old-fashioned death. After he died family turned up and we all sat around with his body and drank tea. Then there is my step-dad, he died 7 years ago (they died 8 months apart). He had from lung cancer. It was a very trying time.
