I have been wondering that too. I have mild versions of each (would consider myself more genderqueer than trans... still not sure.
I also tend to find pagan religions more fascinating than most, even though I do not subscribe to any religion myself. And for some reason, I've noticed a lot of trans ppl are pagan in some way or another. (Judging by your icon, it looks like you fit the trend!)
One thing I've wondered about is the stereotype that is sometimes reported by the media "autism is extreme maleness". I have run across a number of FTM aspies and I can see why they might agree with this statement. But there also seems to be a high rate of MTF's among the asperger community. My theory is that aspies tend to be less gendered in general, and have more of a mix of gender traits than conforming to one very strongly. But it's just a theory :)
