[Nezumi has already figured out the basics of everything going on and he‘s surveyed the area. He's still curious how all of this works and so it's time to use the journal he received. Important questions and all of that.]

Free food, free shelter, and free everything. Isn’t that just impressive? Much like that library we have is. It has a lot of ( Read more... )

While you do bring up good points, there have been people who've lived here for quite some time to vouch for the food's safety. If the food wasn't safe, they would be getting sick all the time and dying. Is that not correct?

Correct, but they could do other things with the food than getting you sick or killing you. More subtle things.

More subtle things? I'd like an example if you please.

Drugs to change your behavior. Maybe make you more sleepy or paranoid. Or perhaps aphrodisiacs. I mean things like that.

Hmm... I can't really complain about the food here. I mean, I never got anything altered or poisoned in any way.

As for cameras... I never thought about that. [She might be looking over her shoulder now.]

[Since this is a woman, he softens his tone. You get more flies with honey.]

Be safe and look for holes or cracks in the ceiling and walls, milady. If you can, cover them up with something just in case. If they can hear you, it doesn't do much good. But if they could videotape you, it is a little helpful.

[She certainly appreciates the softness on his voice.]

I'll keep my eyes peeled for that then.

Still... I don't know if spying on us is their main objective in this place.

It may not be, but if they have this much power, we should take the safe route and cover our bases.

The food's definitely safe! I've ate a bunch of it, and I haven't gotten sick or anything!

[He can just tell he isn't going to get through much to this one.]

Changes in behavior? [...] That you've actually noticed?

Well, if I was acting funny, I'm sure that somebody would've pointed it out! I haven't noticed anything, though.

Are you saying you don't think you've behaved differently because nobody has pointed it out? Honestly?

Wow, is it really that dangerous? How worrying... what do you suggest we do?

I can't say just yet. I'm just being cautious since it seems nobody else will.

For the bugs, look for holes and cracks where you live. Cover them up. It won't do a thing for microphones if there are any, but it'll give you some privacy if they're videotaping us. Just think safe is all.

[She's not going to sleep for a week now, thanks bro]

I'll be sure to keep that in mind... thank you.

And what of the food? We all have to eat eventually.

[voice] I do it all the time too! asquiet November 13 2011, 01:32:10 UTC
[No problem. This is how he lives his life.]

The food? The safest bet would probably be eating a little and seeing if you notice any differences. Have you eaten any of it?

I've never heard of the food being bad for anybody...but I'm not the best person to say that.

I don't think I've ever seen a camera before though..

Ah, but thank you for your input. It helps me greatly. [Purposely being nicer here than he usually would be.]

They can be very small and hidden in places you wouldn't imagine.

You're welcome! [Kohaku is always this nice.]

How small? I've only ever seen a really big one.

Put out your index finger. See the tip of that? They can be just as small. And considering how much technology these Malnosso seem to have, I wouldn't be surprised if they could go smaller.
