After work today, my Dad picked me up to take me to my parents' house in Runcorn. On the way he detoured to show me the worst offenders in the Christmas lights league. There were so many hideous houses! So, only two days to go at work. Today the Hoover Band visited - our very own brass band - and played Christmas carols through our lunch hour. Time is flying, and Christmas is almost here. Unlike a lot of people I know, I love Christmas. Not the endless 'late night shopping' and shameless attempts to guilt people into buying something they can't afford for someone who doesn't want it, but the spending time at home, visiting family and friends, great food (oh yes) and the Christmas tree.
