Not a cross post!

I'm not feeling so great today.

You know what I hate? Having a crush. I know it's called a crush because it sucks, but still! And I also have a crush on a rather inconvenient person... someone I have known for a while, with ties to my college life and NoManch in general. I can't really talk to many people about it, so that only adds to my misery. ( Read more... )

Moving to Philly and doing the Americorps position was the best/worst experience of my life. A lot of good came from it... and a lot of bad. I have not been to the west coast, but I'm pretty sure I'm an east coast type person.

POINT: You are very young, and time is on your side. I lived in Philadelphia and Atlanta and I moved back to Indianapolis. It wasn't because I wasn't strong enough to be in those other places, but I had a realization that anywhere you live can suck, no matter the different opportunities. Lil and I aren't a huge fan of Indianapolis, but we've done more here in the last year than we were able to do in both other cities combined. AND we travel a lot, too.

So. Indiana is no booming metropolis (although it is projected to go blue in the election!!!), but it doesn't matter if you live in a booming metropolis if you are too sad or too poor to enjoy it. Do what's best for you, and remember that you have time on your side. And stop by Indy before you go, if you do. People would like to see you!

Thank you. I really do value your input since you have the experience and really know what you're talking about.
I've been getting a lot of flack from some people about Indiana...I think because they are miserable with their own lives and want to live vicariously through me? I'm not sure, and I sure as hell am no psychologist.
Sometimes it's hard to remember that I DO have time. Mostly it just feels like time's running out and I had better get my life on track. But... yeah. I guess what I wanted to hear most was that living somewhere else won't matter if I won't enjoy it.
Well, thanks again.
