All you other people not in love with Kingdom Hearts can ignore this.

Title: Creation’s Mishap
Challenge: #085, Creation Table
Claimed: Zexion
Other Characters: None
Word Count: 260
Rating: G
Author’s Notes: It’s just kind of an introductory drabble to my portrayal of Zexion. Comments are loved.

Zexion knew full well that he wasn’t supposed to exist, he had died, and didn’t he deserve a fair after-life? No, death apparently just wasn’t suited for him because shortly after he had died, his eyes had opened again and he was in a strange place with an even stranger empty feeling inside of him.

Zexion had stopped believing in creation shortly there afterward. He stopped believing in any kind of god or religion at that point. By then, it seemed he was incapable of believing in anything or simply feeling. It was like there was an empty cavity where he had once known all the feelings to be held. It was a fate worse than death that fate had dealt to Zexion and the other members of the Organization XIII.

Xehanort had to go and play God, messing with heartless and insisting on creating them, it had just gotten them into more trouble. Yet when Zexion thought about it, as much as he wanted to care, there was nothing there. A vague memory of anger, but it was so far away, just as belief was for him now. It was as though he were an empty shell, created merely for looks and to function under a more powerful shell.

It was a joke, and yet no one was laughing. This second birth they had been blessed with and yet forbidden the ability to feel to appreciate it. He was a mishap of creation, a mistake, and yet he couldn’t find the slightest bit of feeling left to bother him.
