Summary: Zexion reflects on falling into darkness
A/N: I think this one is better than the other one. And comments are still loved.
The worst feeling that Zexion knew of was the moment when his heart had been consumed by darkness. It was like drowning in the sea, as though he were suffocating and the undertow had caught him in its grip. There was no surface to break through for a life saving breath nor was there any break in the darkness’ deadly grip.
In that endless black void, Zexion had kept hoping there would be an end; he had kept praying that the cold would go away. And yet even after Zexion had come out of the darkness’ grip, it still left its cold, damp, stoic essence inside of him, serving as a constant reminder of the endless suffocation, the endless darkness.
When the darkness consumes you, it becomes you. It never leaves your side and it is the most dedicated thing you’ll ever come into contact with. The darkness shrouds you and leaves you shivering and naked, stripped of what you were before. It takes its toll on anyone who has to experience it. All you need to do to see that is to look at the expression on Zexion’s face.
