I do remember Atlanta Fantasy Fair. I've been to a couple.

I've given up on cons entirely. Too expensive and too much politics...like pageants weren't political?

Haven't been to any Dallas cons, but have been to a couple in Houston.

With few exceptions, our primary reason for attending conventions was to see friends who are normally scattered far and wide. We're not doing Dragon*Con this year, or in the discernible future, because it's just gotten too big to be fun for us. We do smaller cons where we know lots of our friends will be in attendance. And you already know about QuarterCon, which isn't even a real con, but all about seeing our friends.

Smaller cons are where it's at. I look forward now to just seeing great friends (you and Connie ;-) and having a great time. :-)

There are too many people now at Dragon Con to even find your friends now, unless you use a GPS tracking system.
