Ryohei Sasagawa
Ryohei is a fellow sportsman and someone Yamamoto admires greatly, considering he refers to him as "senpai" and not just Ryohei or Sasagawa. They're both on the duller side of the bright spectrum -Yamamoto more because he's crazy and too preoccupied to be learned and Ryohei because he is truly an idiot- but Yamamoto feels a kinship with him because SPORTS ARE GREAT EVERYONE LOVES SPORTS! He also recognizes that protectiveness Ryohei has and thinks of him as capable and strong and pretty much the ideal big brother. Ryohei is totes his Bro.✌✌✌✌✌

Tsunayoshi Sawada
Yamamoto says it several times and he means it; he thinks Tsuna is amazing. He doesn't like how Tsuna always puts himself down, and tries his best to encourage him or at least give him a sense of belonging when he does. He also recognizes that Tsuna is a born leader not because he's got good leadership skills, but because he genuinely cares about his friends and earns their devotion that way, instead of via manipulation. Tsuna's also hilarious because he spazzes and it's funny to see him do that, though occasionally Yamamoto has to calm him down. Still, he thinks very highly of Tsuna and Yamamoto would follow him to the ends of the Earth. Plus, you know, the guy saved him from making the biggest mistake a person can make, and didn't even tell anybody about That One Time when Yamamoto tried to throw himself from the roof. He even went along with everyone thinking it was a joke. Yamamoto's very grateful for that.
Kyoko Sasagawa
Despite all they've been through together as a group, Yamamoto actually doesn't know Kyoko very well. He continues to call her "Sasagawa" throughout the series and they don't really chat all that much. Of course, he respects her and thinks she's a nice girl; maybe even considers her a friend, in the same way he considers his classmates his friends. Not the same way he sees Tsuna, Gokudera and Ryohei though. They just haven't had much one-on-one interaction is all, and he doesn't think any less of her for it. He just...doesn't think about her too much in the first place, unless he's trying to keep their mafia business from her for Ryohei's sake (though personally, Yamamoto feels badly for the girls when they're lied to).✌✌✌

❤❤❤Hayato Gokudera
Whatever Gokudera may really think of him, Yamamoto most certainly counts him as one of his two best friends (the other being Tsuna). Gokudera has a habit of shouting at Yamamoto and insulting him, but Yamamoto isn't so much a pushover or a masochist as he can recognize that behavior as just how Gokudera is. He knows that Gokudera was a loner before and thus probably doesn't trust people too easily, so he doesn't take what he snaps out in a fit of rage too seriously. At least, he doesn't do so very often. Still, though, Yamamoto is of the opinion that all Gokudera needs is someone who'll stick around despite his temper, and what little flashes of concern he's seen from the other boy is evidence enough for him to know that Gokudera kind of maybe things of him as a friend too. Sometimes.
Belphagor
That creepy Varia guy who keeps calling himself a prince. Yamamoto's generally chill with him now since the Vongola and Varia are friends and all (OBVIOUSLY they are friends now) but he's not quite sure if he trusts the guy completely yet. He could just flip and kill them all one day, so Yamamoto will be friendly but also wary and probably do what he can to keep an eye on Bel.✌
