Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Kanji can summon a Persona called Take-Mikazuchi. He is particularly good at electricity-based and physical attacks. Though Kanji can only summon Take-Mikazuchi in the TV world, is it possible that the supernatural ambiance and the presence of the Core will allow him to summon his persona on the island? I'm not sure how you're handling this with his canonmates.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A
Weapons: Kanji tends to use whatever is around to beat on things - chairs, folding tables, whatever. Or just his fists. He's not particular.
History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Kanji was a real momma's boy when he was little, a sensitive child who had been hard-hit by his father's death to the point where to this day he hates to even visit hospitals and they make him irritable and nervous. His family owns a textiles shop in Inaba, Japan, and Kanji always enjoyed sewing and cooking.
However, when he started school, he found that people teased and bullied him because of this. He took that teasing to heart, developing a nervousness of girls and shame about the things he liked to do. He began to hide his liking for 'girly' hobbies, becoming surly and rough, looking like a bully himself. He bleached his hair and often skipped school. Kanji is a good-hearted person and while his public face is very intimidating, he never hurt innocent people. He took it as his personal mission to keep down the bullies in Inaba, beating up and intimidating them if he found them roughing up or scaring innocent people. Recently he actually took on an entire biker gang himself, running them out of town. Unfortunately, the Inaba Police don't really see the distinction between Kanji and any other common thug, and they give him a hard time everywhere he goes, thinking that he's a violent bully who's just inches away from being arrested.
Recently, Kanji was shown on TV, interviewed about the biker gang. This caused him to be shown on the Midnight Channel, which responds to the thoughts of people and causes people who become famous to show up on television when it's raining at midnight, even if the television is off. A man named Namatame, who believed that the Midnight Channel foretold the murders that had begun in Inaba, kidnapped Kanji and threw him into a television, believing this would keep him safe from the murderer.
Kanji's dungeon took the form of a "Bad Bad Bathhouse", and Kanji's Shadow expressed his fears that his liking for sewing and cooking and his fear of girls really did mean that he was gay. He was rescued by Souji and the rest of the Investigation Team. By accepting his Shadow while within the TV world, Kanji gained the power of Persona. He joined the Investigation Team himself and helped to rescue the rest of the victims, discovering the identity of the murderer as well as the underlying supernatural causes of the whole event. By accepting his Shadow, and through his social link with Souji, Kanji grew more comfortable with his hobbies and his sexuality, and by the current point in canon he's begun making dolls and giving classes in sewing.
Point in Canon: I'll be taking him from shortly after the end of the game.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history: N/A
Character Personality: Kanji is a gigantic mooshball wrapped in a rough, angry exterior. He's not the brightest bunny in the world, but he has an enormous heart and a very strong sense of right and wrong. But he also has a very quick and violent temper, and is quick to yell and threaten violence if he feels he's being hasseled or mocked. He's working on this, trying to at least change his threats to something less frightening - for example, when he loses his temper in his favourite Chinese food restaurant, he at first threatens to demolish the place, then realizes what he said and covers it by saying that he'll renovate the restaurant instead.
Often when the others in the Investigation Team are discussing the different possibilities, Kanji loses the thread of the conversation. He doesn't have a devious mind, and is very straightforward. Complicated plots and schemes are pretty much beyond him. But Kanji has the strength and power to blow through to the heart of the matter and keep going no matter how beaten down he is.
Kanji's also, at heart, a really shy and sensitive person. He covers this shyness with his rough and bluster, but sometimes he's caught off guard and will blush and sputter. Despite having hung around with delinquents, he's essentially innocent, having never had a girl or boyfriend, and having had few friends before meeting Souji and the others. He gets angry when embarrassed because it's his only shield, but when he begins to open his heart to his friends, one can see that he's really a sweet, thoughtful person at heart.
Conditional: Personality development in previous game:
Character Plans: Kanji will probably start off by trying to figure out how to get home. He'll likely cling to the other members of his canon at first, being awkward and unused to making new friends. But he'll use his persona to protect people, and will likely get himself a job doing something he's good at - like at a seamstress or textiles shop.
Appearance/PB:
Badass Kanji.
And a couple other Kanjis :3
