I want to start off by saying that I think my pastor, Erwin Lutzer, is a great man.  He is a renowned scholar, having authored several books...a few of which I read.  He is also a very inspiring speaker and just an all out charasmatic guy.  I enjoy hearing his viewpoints and teachings and I think there is a lot of credibility to what he says.  And

I know this is kind of late posting this comment, but I agree with you. Despite my own political views and yada yada yada (lol) I do not think it right for a person in an authoritative position to press his or her political views upon others. Doing so kind of defeats the purpose of individual freedom of choice, which you have so pointedly noted ;)
