So I'm kind of irritated right now.  I have this painful canker sore.  Its on the inside of my lower lip, right where the lip touches my teeth when I have my mouth closed.  I'm in constant pain because of the location of the sore.  I have stuff to put on it but it only works for a few minutes and then PAIN again...

what is the past tense form of the verb "SMITE?"  As in, "the Lord will smite you with laundry out the ass?"

The Lord smited me yesterday with laundry out the ass, but I don't know the past tense version of the word "smite" so I probably sound stupid saying "smited."
