Ok let me just get this out of the way:  The convention is very entertaining but, as my husband pointed out last night, means nothing.  It's just a bunch of fluff and PR stuff.  I really enjoyed the speeches and definitely laughed out loud when Pelosi was hypnotizing the audience into reciting "Barack Obama is right, and John McCain is wrong!"

So I decided to make an important change in my life.  I changed my morning commute.  My morning commute used to consist of the following:

6:20AM-hit snooze
6:25AM-hit snooze
6:30AM-hit snooze
6:35AM-hit snooze
6:40AM- get up, get showered, do hair, makeup, prepare lunch, etc
7:20AM-say "Oh shit, I'm late!" and sprint to the bus stop

So we went to see my sister and Pat last night and saw their new place at Concodia University in Oak Park.  My sister is a hall director, so they get a FREE three bedroom apartment with a huge-ass kitchen.  I am way jealous ( Read more... )
