A letter I wrote got published in the Health section of yesterday's Los Angeles Times. The article I was responding to had all sorts of advice about choosing a doctor (uh-huh) and about whether it's important and more efficient for a doctor's office to be computerized. You are so far ahead of the learning curve when it comes to keeping track of your meds. "There's five, one's purple, three are white, and one of them makes me sleepy" isn't what the office wants to hear, shortly followed by "Why should I keep track of them, YOU gave them to me." Scary. That blows about your HMO. I hope you found a decent neurologist.

That is probably the best piece of advice I have come across, keeping a meds list on you at all times. You should send it off the the NMSS and other societies!
