A Turning
Okay, I finished (not quite at the stroke of midnight) the story for the lycanthrope contest at Dark Recesses. Thank the gods that the story couldn't be longer than 2500 words. I clocked in at 2460.
And it is a werewolf story, kinda, with gods...many, and acrobatic cats...four. I have either written a very entertaining story or a huge stinker. I ( Read more... ) -

One was from Virginia Quarterly Review saying that although my story had obvious merit it didn't suit their needs. Writing Update
Well I have what, five days left to October and still have to finish the werewolf story. I just finished rewriting the SF story for the mundane SF issue. It had to be 5000 words or under. I chopped it from nearly 5900 to 5035 words. I'm thinking I can squeak the 35 through. But maybe I should do this to every story I write--chop off 500 words. It ( Read more... ) -

Silver Sage and Bastard Fairies
I siting here, kinda getting ready to go to the Fairview to hear some bands. And I'm drinking some Silver Sage port, called The Flame. Though I had it in a restaurant months back it was called port there though the bottle says its a sparkling apertif wine. A dilute golden colour with a pepper floating in it.
