Hm... night shifts... something to look forward to in the future. Different stations do the rosters differently - Wellington does 6 days of mornings, 4 off, 6 days of lates, 4 off, 6 days of nights, 4 off. Porirua does 2 mornings, 2 lates, 2 nights, 4 off, rinse & repeat.
Hmm... they all have different advantages. Working a bunch in a row gets you aclimatised to the night shifts, but it can be hard to switch back afterwards. But you get used to it.
Right now we do 2 x 12 hour day shifts, 2 x 12 hour night shifts and 5 off. Every 4th rotation we replace the nights with optional arvos.

Love the 5 off, they're my favourite. :)
