1) There's a coffee house you can smoke cigarettes in. It's called Stir Crazy, is on Melrose near La Brea, and has a screen door, which is apparently all you need to smoke indoors. 2 dollar bottomless cups of coffee.

2) 24 hour gourmet burger place? Yeah, it's called 25 Degrees, @ 7000 Hollywood Blvd (like a block or two west of Mann's Chinese). ( Read more... )

I think the reason most of us don't know that we can park in loading zones is because we're too scared of being ticketed.

You forgot Falafel King! That was pretty much the only cool food thing I did in LA (I'm saying this because everyone knows about Roscoe's, which makes it borderline not-cool-anymore, and Sprinkles qualifies as some other planet).

I did go to the arcade in Westwood a couple of times (and lived down the street from it for maybe a week), but not at 1am.

For those on the east (i.e. "better") side of town, the arcade at Vermont and Normal a block above Melrose is also open til around the same time, and among other things has air hockey and quite a ragin' row of pinball machines.
