I think this poll is fascinating. I never really thought to ask other women about this stuff, but I think it's one of those things that would be really illuminating to know.
And I wanted to add, that while I do remove the hair from my legs and armpits, I really kind of wish I didn't. It's a pain and kind of a ridiculous social convention. I shave my legs more often than I do my pits though, simply because the world sees my legs more often than they do my pits and I don't like dealing with the looks of horror. My husband, my wonderful husband, doesn't mind if I shave or not.
Ultimately, have varying levels of contempt for every different area of body hair. Some areas don't bother me, others do. And I have no idea why it's that way.
I'm fussy about my eyebrows, but I've not taken a razor to my armpits and legs for 10 years. It just doesn't make sense to me as a thing to do. If people have problems with it they can frig off!
Okay, I am not currently dyeing my hair. However, I have three different home dyeing kits sitting in the linen closet waiting for me to get up a little fuckin' nerve already. Pathetic, I know.
