The albuterol inhaler really should be a top priority since it is a rescue inhaler. For the Advair, you might call GSK (the manufacturer) and see if they have a prescription help type program. If not, you might see if your primary care doc can write a script for you for the separate inhalers (flovent and serevent are the brand names). Believe it or not, it might be cheaper to do the two different drugs rather than the combination inhaler.

I'm sorry you're feeling yucky. Hope it gets better soon!

For me, personally, cold air, like in a freezer, makes things much worse.

Try asking your doc for samples, and if he or she has any coupons. Often they have one or the other. Some pharmacies have a discount plan you can sign up for, to help you out. Google the drugs, they may have coupons you can mail away for.

Also see if anything you are taking can be substituted with a generic, they are a lot cheaper.

Good luck and take care. Fill the rescue inhaler as soon as you can and keep it with you wherever you go!

yea this was the first time they gave me the shot in the arm and it hurt like hell after she pulled the needle out it took a couple of minutes for it to take effect and then it made my neck so sore to move and my arm it took that about hour to be able to use it

Though I do take advair, I did have a allergist tell me that I should be on a inhaled steroid only, advair is a inhaled steroid, plus some thing to open the air way, and from what I've read, that medicine almost got adair pulled off the market, but seems safe when mixed with a inhaled steroid.

GSK (the maker of Advair and Ventolin) does have a program for people who are uninsured, it's called Bridges to Access. You need a doctor to agree to be your advocate. I've used it for two years now and all of my Advair and Ventolin has been shipped to my house for free. It's an amazing program for those of us who can't breathe but can't afford the meds.

You can find more information at: http://www.bridgestoaccess.com/
