Norwegian music

These are the songs that were stuck in my head at various times during my trip:

Stan Rogers - Northwest Passage. Every time I went to a nautical museum, the search for the Northwest Passage was mentioned, and Stan Rogers' voice promptly started up in my brain. Also a little bit on the return flight home, but I tried not to think to much about the reason for that!

Karen Unrein Kahan (Wyndreth Berginsdottir) - Lifeblood. I don't know many viking songs, so this one popped up occasionally, when the circumstances were appropriate.

Garmarna - Verulven/Werewolf. There were a lot of pretty pruned trees in Bergen and Oslo, and after asking a few people I finally learned they were linden trees, which are referred to in the refrain.

Garmarna - Herr Mannelig. The only song I know about trolls. On the ferry ride I was watching out for them, but never saw any.

Garmarna - Vänner och Fränder/Friends and Kinsmen. One of the last Norwegian words I learned before I left the US was the word for "friends," which is almost identical to the Swedish term as well, so I started my trip with this song.
