Okay I want to be serious for a minute.
Does anyone remember back like 2001 or something when the government was talking lots about legalized heroin injecting rooms so that addicts could inject safely (or more safely anyway!) and have medical help if something went wrong? Well what happened to that ... i was too young at the time (or thats my excuse

Yeah, it's obviously too much of a contentious issue for the government.. either way they'll piss people off so they're just not doing anything and keeping quiet on it. Bloody typical..

I reckon you should write (email) into the newspapers with that, or something.. you made a blody good point. It might get other people's attention (and it's newsworthy, with all these drug arrests..) someone needs to point out that while yeah, they've seized drugs, it's still a massive problem.. (they'll just ahve to pay more for their drugs now! so they'll have to commit more crimes!)

.. I just searched for the issue in our databasey thingy.. it actually got a tiny mention in the age today (some la trobe dude was talking about drug use and suggested those as well as other stuff)
