Ooh, these are nice. How close were you to the stage? Some look as if they were taken up close while others (crowd shoots) was farther back. If they were all taken from the same spot your camera has an excellent zoom.
Yes they were all taken from the same spot.I was not too close to the stage but not too far either, I was on the balcony facing the stage ! All the venues they play in Europe, I think, are most of the time with a capacity of 1000 to 3000 persons, so they are not that big, that's one of the things I like with them, there's always the possibility to have a real visual contact with the band, unlike in big stadiums or huge festivals. The camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 and it has an optical zoom of 12X. I was also on the 1st row of the balcony, which allowed me to put my arms on the barrier, hence less movement and better image quality. I did not use that one at Helldone, wish I had cos it's better for the concert pics. Birmingham was the best gig for me, from all point of views :)
I've only ever had a disposable camera with me at concerts, so I'm hoping to take the digital this time. It's a Sony Cyber-shot something. It think it's zoom is 10X The venue I'm going to is small theater, and according to google maps there's no fence for them to hide behind this time. lol
Ooooohh these are special to me as we did not have the possibility of taking pics this good from where we were [as you know!] Yes Birmingham was pretty special!
