Within less than two seconds of Yesung walking out of his dressing room, observations had been made, a plan formed, and was simultaniously put into action by both Kyuhyun and Heechul, both of whom still had makeup noonas poking at their faces, and both of whom were making the women’s jobs that much more difficult by their snickering.

Between the two of them they shared what could only be called an unhealthy amound of weird humor, which lead to all the snark that the younger man showed on various occasions, and all the sass and sarcasm that Heechul was able to produce. The meeting of those two personalities could never be prevented, only put off, but when they discovered each other the other members of Super Junior knew that their days of relative peace were over.

It was why no one complained too loudly at first when Kyuhyun buried himself in games, and when Heechul went about doing whatever it was that amused him at the moment. As long as the two remained in separate spheres, they were safe. But their cursed luck made Heechul sentimental and Kyuhyun needing of approval, and somehow that translated to them spending more time together, and eventually made Heechul a willing sacrifice to Kyuhyun’s game addiction.

And now, apparently, it was too the point where they shared a brain. Maybe the headsets they wore when gaming (more rare in Heechul’s case) had given off some sort of radioactive wave that mutated their brainscells into some sort of configuration that allowed for telepathy. Or maybe they were just spending unhealthy amounts of time together, feeding each other’s various addictions. Whatever it was, they were in on the joke, and clearly, Yesung was not.

Leeteuk shrugged his shoulders at the other man’s questioning glance, Sungmin shook his head, and Donghae was asleep in his chair.

A little self conscious, Yesung tugged at the turtleneck he wore and sat down so the makeup noonas could flock and hum and apply his face before the show. One of them reminded him to keep his hands at his side, he didn’t need to stretch out his collar before they were even on stage.

But Kyuhyun and Heechul continued to laugh. Threats, bribery, and begging could not get them to divulge their secrets, and they were muted by their own laughter.

Heechul calmed down and wouldn’t tell, but Kyuhyun, once he managed to get a good hold on his laugher, had to tell. They waited with baited breath for whatever it was that had the two disolving into mirth . . . .

Kyuhyun just gestured to his collar and said, “Turtleneck.”

“That’s all?” Yesung asked.

Kyuhyun dissolved into giggles before he could answer.

“That’s really lame. Like, really, really lame. You’re losing your touch, Kyuhyunnie,” Leeteuk sighed, walking away.

“That’s not what your girlfriend said last night.”

“Like I said, losing your touch.”

“Are you calling your girlfriend ugly? Kangin will love to hear that, probably go on a rant of how he was voted number one hottest guy in Korea or some such thing.”

“Naw, he’ll just break you for calling him a girl.”

“You wound me, hyung!”

Yesung only heard half of the conversation as it trailed off into some sort of mushy former magnae and umma “pay attention to me!” battle. Kyuhyun was not middle-child material.

But Yesung was still stuck on the turtleneck. “But, hyung, you wear turtlenecks.”

“I don’t invite the comparison!” Heechul barked, stretching when the make-up noonas allowed him to stand. “I mean, you’d never catch me dead in a catsuit.” He paused to consider that for a moment. “No, not even if it was the right kind.”

The coordinators must have heard the conversation, because Yesung never again found a turtleneck on his clothing rack ever again. It was just as well, because he never wanted to be reminded of the images that popped into his head when he overheard Kyuhyun’s and Heechul’s continued conversation outside of the dressing room.

“Well, GameKyu . . . I happen to think Turtlenecks are hot.”

A/N: The most unpleasant summer job that ever existed.
