I went to pick Sarah up tonight and she didn't want to leave. She ran away from me, she hung on to the sitter's leg, and she cried when we left.

I figured this would probably happen some day, but thought I was way too secure to let this bother me.

I was really very wrong about that.

You know she loves you more, you know that. She has fun at the sitter and that's all it is. She didn't want to stop playing.

Yah. Knowing that kids have trouble with transitions and it's just a sign that you did the right thing and found a good sitter really doesn't help.

Sigh. I suppose it's practice for any phases she may go through when she's thirteen.
