So, things are proceeding apace on the moving front. We signed the lease, delivered a check for first and last month's rent plus deposit, and we'll do our walk through next week after they've cleaned and painted. I ordered moving boxes and supplies from Costco and they were delivered yesterday (and Costco doesn't charge for shipping!) so we can get

Yay! I'm so happy things are progressing well. I understand wanting to just get away for a weekend but the fact that you realize that getting the other stuff done is more important is why things are falling down around you.

I can't wait to see pics of the new place!

I can't wait to take pictures of the new place! When we have our walkthrough I'll take some pictures of it empty and clean.

I know, it's all about priorities. And as a family, we really have needed and wanted this for a while. But maybe after the move is over we can get a sitter and go out for an evening to a local casino or Dave and Buster's. That would probably be a good compromise. I just don't get a lot of leisure time that I'm not being Mama on the Spot (and I'm sure you know what I mean).

Oh I know what you mean. Thankfully if I really wanted to gamble (it's legal in Louisiana) all I have to do is take a 5 minute drive to the casino.
