So, a couple weeks ago, Romer showed me this recipe and I made it (although I used a half recipe of the Tollhouse Cookie recipe) and wow, it was really really good. Today I made it again, but instead of the Tollhouse dough I used peanut butter cookie dough.

This is even better. You should make it.

Sarah has a bunch of new words, and acquires more every day. Yesterday, the word of the day was "cute," pronounced "koot". She pointed to her shirt and said "It's koot!" She identified several other koot things over the course of the day (a dog, a picture of a baby) and always used the word appropriately ( Read more... )

When I was a kid, I lived in Alaska. One of the things about living in Alaska is that it is weirdly close to Hawaii v. the West Coast of North America. It was faster and cheaper for us to spend a week in Hawaii than to go to Los Angeles for a week, and so we did that ( Read more... )

I have returned from the East Coast with Sarah (who was very good on the plane, for which I am grateful). I am glad to be back with Peter again.

I think I might have SAD--two weeks at the sunny beach and I felt great, and I come back to fog central and I'm tired and cranky.

We gotta do this.
