Considering all the different kinds of love, it is quite ludicrous that there are no other words to specify a brotcherly love, from being in love, from love of a song. Kind of like saying thank you, there is only this one expression we use and it's supposed to be acceptable for everything from if ur thanking someone for saving your life, or if you're saying thank you for coming to walmart. it doesn't even carry real meaning anymore, like is it really important that I came to Walmart? do you really care? what exactly are u thanking me for? Which is the same reason I hate small talk and the dumb polite trivialities people engage in all the time with never really thinking about it. And on the topic of linguistics there's this population of ppl somewhere in the amazon that don't have words to distinguish between colors, and i wonder how that would change one's perception of the world- assuming it would anyway. Then its kinda funny the different ways one can assign different meaning to words, like i was hanging out with these kids ( ... )
