“No more cosplay segments. Ever,” Nino was complaining as he wriggled out of his costume. “I will call in sick. I will call all of us in sick.”
Jun was already out of his cosplay clothes and ready to head home, but he was hanging around the green room. For all intents and purposes, he looked perfectly content, listening to music and clicking through emails on his phone. But it was a front - his palms were sweaty, his heart was racing. And why?
Because Sho still hadn’t changed out of the damn maid’s costume. Sure, he was a maid with sloping shoulders and too broad a chest, but they’d gone to too many maid cafes for filming over the years. Jun had a thing for the costumes now, and the way Sho was still sashaying around the dressing room and moving around in the heeled shoes was driving him crazy.
Nino finally got his street clothes on and gave Sho a dirty look. “You look like an idiot,” he said to Sho, who ignored him. Nino gave Jun a nod and headed out, leaving him and the cosplay lover alone. Jun’s hand was jittery as he clicked to an email from his manager, and Sho continued on oblivious, curtsying in front of the mirror and smiling big.
“You going home any time soon?” Jun asked without looking up.
“I’m telling you,” Sho mumbled, twirling around awkwardly. “Dresses are very freeing.”
Nino was right, Jun thought. Sho looked like an idiot, but Jun didn’t much care, so long as the little headband was firmly affixed in Sho’s hair and his long, thin legs poked out from the dress and into the heels. This guy hosted a news segment, but he was still prancing around like a moron.
“Wouldn’t really know,” he replied, flipping his phone closed and shoving it in his jean pocket. “You know they probably want to get the cleaning staff in here. It’s getting late.”
Sho turned, hands on his hips. “Then why are you still here?”
“I like maid costumes.”
Okay, so he’d said it. And by the confused look on Sho’s face, he was still processing it. Finally, realization dawned and slowly Sho started to nod. “Ah, ah, right.”
He smirked. “How much do you like maid costumes, Sho-san?”
The other man raised an eyebrow. “Are you propositioning me? In the green room of all places?”
Jun just shrugged, trying to calm his nerves. He’d never really stopped liking Sho, even if he rarely showed it. All five of them tended to make cheeky remarks to one another, but this was more genuine than Jun really wanted to admit.
The heeled shoes clicked on the linoleum as Sho clumsily walked over. “Seriously, are you just being an ass or what?”
“You’re not a very good maid.”
“What?”
Jun nudged Sho’s bare leg with his sneaker. “I said you aren’t a very good maid.”
Sho grimaced, moving down to his knees, and the shoes scraped against the floor as he rested his hands on either side of Jun’s legs on the couch. “I’m sorry...” Sho’s expression was unreadable as he met Jun’s eyes. “Master.”
Well, he could thank his lucky stars that Sho was far less reserved as soon as he was in cosplay. Jun leaned forward slightly, tapping the headband in Sho’s hair. This was going to go very well or be incredibly weird, but Jun still couldn’t resist the damn headband and was going to just tempt fate.
“How loyal are you to my household?”
Sho’s eyes darkened, and he remembered his imagined place and lowered them. “Very loyal, sir.”
Jun licked his lips, letting his more sadistic side take over to ease his nervousness. The tension was high between the both of them, ever since Sho had knelt down. As if a switch had been thrown. If Jun was playing a part and Sho was playing a part, then it was just a game. It was just cosplay. No regrets because nothing had technically happened, had it?
He took Sho’s hand in his, and it was just as clammy as his own felt. Jun brought Sho’s fingers to his belt buckle. If Sho wanted to stop, call the game off, he would have by now. He took a deep breath and released Sho’s hand. “Well?”
Sho was still not looking at him, still playing his part. But there was the slightest edge in his voice as his fingers idled at Jun’s trousers. “Not sure this is part of my job description.” Sho paused, as if the collect his thoughts. “Master."
He grabbed Sho’s chin tight. “I don’t have all day.”
The only sound in the next few seconds was that of the zipper being pulled down, and Jun closed his eyes. His fingers tugged at Sho’s hair, lingering on the headband as his maid for the day served “her” master admirably.
