Just BSG, because although I love ASOIAF, I have no head!canon for anyone there. It's complicated enough just following canon.

Billy!- Billy gave Laura Roslin her silver bracelet as a birthday present, the first birthday she had after the attacks. He wanted to get her something nice because he knew he was the only person who knew when her birthday was, and at the time, they thought it might be her last one, but he hadn’t got a clue what to get her, so he roped Dee into helping him find something. He swapped a couple of music discs and a paperback book for it. He was so embarrassed about giving it to her that he just left it on her desk on the right day, with a note just saying “Happy Birthday”, but Laura figured out it must be from him and gave him a big hug later on that day

I love the little detail with Jake the dog! maybe that's how New Caprica Jake got his name, somehow.

Jake the dog is from a Laura/Billy deleted scene. I'm convinced that the New Caprica Jake the dog was named by Laura after Billy's dog.

- he’s originally from Aquaria. He studied for his medical qualifications on Leonis, but never really liked the place.

- part of the reason he was so fond of Laura was because she reminded him a lot of his eldest daughter, Sarah, who was on Picon with her children during the attacks. They didn’t look alike, but they had some similar mannerisms and personality quirks, and he found himself calling her ‘young lady’ all the time because that’s what he used to call Sarah. It annoyed him to begin with, when he caught himself doing it, but after a while, he started finding it comforting.

- he was a C-Bucs fan, and had a standing bet with Bill Adama and Saul Tigh over the various pyramid championships that they all used to watch together when they could. Bill and Saul always used to pay up in cartons of cigarettes when he won.

- He's a really good cook. In his spare time, on leave, he used to experiment all the time with recipes. He occasionally entertained thoughts of quitting and opening a restaurant, but he was too afraid it might turn out to be a big failure so he didn't.

- Zak was the kind of kid who was a total daredevil and was always risking his neck purely for entertainment. Lee was the responsible older brother, and saved Zak from hurting himself or getting into trouble on a number of occasions. Part of the reason Lee is so angry about what happened to Zak is because he tried to talk Zak out of joining the military and failed - he feels guilty because he couldn't save him that time.

- (whether you want to view it as romantic or otherwise) Lee feels strongly attracted to Laura because she's one of the few people in the world who has ever made him feel worthy just because he's him, not because he's his father's son or Zak's brother or the CAG. She makes him want to be a better person just for the sake of it, not to please anyone else.

Oh, I love all of these. Lee's fear of failure, his need to save Zak, his desire to be loved for WHO HE IS! These hit all the right notes. You really have a great understanding of Lee. Bravo! <3<3
