Close Encounter of the Aquaric Kind

Sam and I went, with friends, up to Blue Spring State Park this weekend. It's a beautiful place. The spring is AMAZING!The boil comes up from a 60 foot cavern and then runs down into the St. John River. We were swimming in the run, yesterday when we noticed a pair of wild manatees in the run. We didn't get too close to them. That is illegal.

I was close to a manatee in the wild. I didn't touch it. I was on the land. But it was quite a magical experience, nonetheless.
