A Bad Day in Divorce Land

Sometimes I really really hate being a child of divorced parents.

My parents divorced 6 years ago and most of the time it's good thing. They were really bad for each other and my mom is way better off without him. ( If he were my man I'd have kicked him out way before she did) But I love my Daddy and I know that the divorce wasn't entirely his fault

I feel you girl. My parents divorced when I was 7 and we STILL go through this. It's tougher for my brother now because he's got Jacob and everyone wants Jacob to be at their house. Luckily we have Thanksgiving over here - so it's like we've got an extra opportunity to spread the joyfulness of being around us wonderful kids! (HA!) but it also makes it harder.

And now, we've got in-laws to consider as well. I actually got into a pretty nasty spat with my MIL last week because I told her Colin and I were going to my mom's and my parents over the 4-day Christmas weekend. I told her she got Thanksgiving and apparently SHE wanted to tell ME what our holiday plans were. Uh-uh. NOOO WAY.

So I feel you on how tough the holidays can be with loads of family in different spots. Hang in there kiddo and try to remind your Dad that at least he'll get to have his family in one spot - it doesn't matter so much what day its on does it?
