Midnight was rolling around and Astrid was, as usual, still not asleep. She had been laying in her bed for what seemed like hours upon hours. The thought of reading had crossed her mind, but she was due for a visit to the library ( Read more... )

Sabrina Holloway looked over the top of the Legimency book her father had given her for the Winter Solstice. She raised an eyebrow looking at Astrid. She put a small golden bookmark within the pages and set the book down on the edge of her bed. Just as she did so, Midnight attempted to jump up on the four poster bed. Alas being to young and too small the kitten flopped down on the ground and hissed at the sheets.

Sabrina reached down and picked up her kitten with one hand. Running the other down the feline's back she looked back to Astrid again. "Are you proposing we leave our dorm room, when it is close to midnight and clearly after hours, in search of food?"

Astrid looked at her with a blank stare, "More or less."

"Sure!" Sabrina said brightly and set the kitten down, getting ready to accompany her friend.

Astrid jumped up from her bed, filled with excitement and began towards the door. It took her only a few seconds to realize that she should probably change out of her pajama's before sneaking off.
She did so, in what must have been a world record time for changing ones wardrobe, and put on some mismatch socks to finish it off.

Lifting one eyebrow, Astrid looked at her friend Sabrina, " Ready Sab? "

"I was born ready," she said smirking at the over used cliche.

Making way out of the Ravenclaw tower, Sabrina was ever so careful of her footsteps, making sure they were silent as the grave. Hearing a deep snicker Sabrina pulled herself against the wall quickly, hoping Astrid would follow suit. Then Peeves the irritating little poltergeist zoomed past with a wallet, that Sabrina was sure did not belong to the deseased.

"Close one eh?" she said smiling to her friend and continued along the way.

"Close is an understatement." Astrid said quietly. Laughing a little at the fact that they were just exiting the Ravenclaw tower and already had a close call.

Astrid continued to follow Sabrina, trying her best to walk lightly. The floor creaking every now and again was making her heart jump up into her throat. The slightest noise could have them in detention.

After all, wasn't that part or the thrill. The possibility of getting caught?
