I wonder how many other people have read about or heard of Jack Kerouacs reputation……and how many of them look up to him? How many of them read his biography or anything hes written and just want to go…….I cant stress enough how much I want to do that……I just want to forget about it all…..I know who I am…..I don’t want to go on a quest to find

I read some Jack Kerouac and I think he's a hippy bastard. That said, he writes cool stuff about hiking, and I dig hiking so that's cool. I think it's totally cool for people to want a more interesting than the standard life. That's always been my dream, and I think I'm getting there... that is, not living in the standard manner. You just can't ask people to totally buy into your version of reality. Most people back in the world just don't get it. Unless they are punks. Thats a totally different world, right there. There be dragons. So what's stopping you, basically? Get a half decent frame pack, toss some cash and a calling card in your wallet and go. That's the first step. Then just keep freaking moving. Don't stop moving or learning, I say. At any rate, happy trails.
