I saw this book in one of my teacher's classroom's and read the summary (I recognized the title from the talk of the movie or something) and it sounded only slightly interesting. I mean, especially with how you ended your thoughts, it sounds like almost any set of books. So many books criticize human nature 'cause it's so easy to; we're all here with these obvious imperfections that have been taken advantage of in the past, many times over.
Okay, so I can't think of any books like how you described Ender's Game off the top of my head, save Lord of the Flies and The Chocolate War. (Maybe I am the Cheese, too? Though that's more indirect and probably more about the human mind's frailty in the face of danger and uncertainty.) The terribleness of human nature seems like a common theme, though, and it more annoys me more than anything since it's so easy to write about. It' ( ... )
