I'm unsure how much Spanish you have, but whatever you do have, it will help a lot with the Italian.

mmm...my spanish is limited to being polite, asking where the bathroom is, counting and saying that there is a party (or cat) in my pants.

BUT i'm hoping those four years of latin will help.
