It was a feeling Light was accustomed to in camp, but it didn't mean he liked it. That tingle that started at the base of his spine and traveled its way up until the hair on the back of his neck stood on end and his shoulders shook with a feeling of pure dread.

Which, at this point in time, could only mean one thing.

The Note was put away, his pencil neatly tucked into his shirt pocket, and Light climbed down from his bunk.

Then, he waited.

He had mostly cleaned the zombie off of his hands. Mostly. Except for maybe a bit under his fingernails, but that wasn't too bad. That and he had totally brought some zombie-in-a-bag with him. Couldn't go matching random samples to things without having the sample to match with, of course!

"Liiiiiiiiight~~~" to say that Dietrich was often acting under his age was probably a lie. To say that he often acted younger than he was for the sole purpose of pissing Light off might be more accurate. After all, they were mostly in the clear so to speak when it came to the Deep Dark Psychopathic secrets.

Light was mostly numb to the smell of zombie in the morning. After living in that camp for more than a week, one's senses usually dulled enough to handle whatever died that day.

But that didn't mean his sense of smell was dead. And he instinctively recoiled as Dietrich made himself known.

"What do you want?"

Oh, darn. It looked like the game wasn't going to be played from the beginning. Dietrich blinked and shot Light a fairly innocent look. Which he didn't expect meant anything now, Light wasn't only a suspicious bastard, but pretty sharp on the uptake as well.

"A favor, Light. I've run into... some difficulty."
