What's your fave kid's book?

I thought it'd be fun to see what everyone's fave kid's book is/was! little_ole_me had a post about Snuggle Puppy and it made me think about all those adorable kids books that you can get.

So, please, share!

What kid's books have you read and loved and will most DEFINITELY own when you have children of your own???

Dr. Seuss books, definitely! I just love the rhyms. The Sneetches is a classic of his :).

Actually I'm thinking I own several that I love already:

The 20th Century Children's Classic Treasury which has HEAPS of award winning books in it.

And I have a 5 book compendium of Hairy Maclairy coz he's so cute! :)

I think I'm going to have to get some Berenstein Bear books though. They were always so much fun!!!

Mum always told me my favourite book was a golden book called 'The Muscians Of Bremen' I have been looking for it everywhere, with no luck as of yet. My sister's favourite golden book was 'Hirem's Red Shirt' and she recently found it and is rapt about it! :) Some other good ones were Enid Blyton's 'Bimbo and Topsy'. 'Who Sunk The Boat' is good for littlies. Hairy Maclairy rocks by the way! ;) I'm sure there are heaps more I can't think of! ;) :) Oooohhh, can't go past 'Possum Magic' by Mem Fox. Now that's a classic! :) I have been thinking I need to get miss Tahlia a whole heap of older kiddies books. Some other ones I loved to bits were the 'Far Out Brussel Sprout' series and Paul Jennings books. Phew! :)

Oh I LOVE LOVE LOVE Enid Blyton's Faraway Tree series. Who Sunk the Boat is fun and so is Possum Magic! What's the Far Out Brussel Sprout series about?

By memory, it's a bunch of fun limericks and silly poems. So fun remembering all these momories!!

Hi, Rach! (Murphy, aka chicksinger) I'm jumping in here. Zachary is 11 months old (so the last time we might have seen each other on WC is Jan. 2004!), and his favorite book is Fuzzy, Fuzzy, Fuzzy by Sandra Boynton. She also wrote Snuggle Puppy and many others. Two other books that I love are Good Dog, Carl by Alexandra Day and Good Night, Gorilla by Peggy Rathman.

Oh I like Good Night, Gorilla as well! :) I bought the 20th Century Children's Treasury that has that and a pile of other cute kids books in it. Is that Zachary in your avi? He looks so happy and cute! :)
