Lustick's conception of consociationalism always strikes me as intellectually immature. Whenever I read his work on this topic, I feel like the paper is screaming "American here! Assimilation, integration, here we come!"

You really should study with Brendan O'Leary. Despite your mistaken comment about his nationality and advising capacity in Kurdistan. :-D He and Lustick have terribly different opinions.
